The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 is a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The display is equipped with a capacitive multi-touch panel that supports gestures from up to five fingers. It serves as the successor to the original Touch Display, which was released in 2015 and had a resolution of 480 x 840.
The Touch Display 2 is specifically designed to work with Raspberry Pi OS, the official operating system for these devices based on the Debian Linux distribution.
The device includes both the display and the necessary cables for easy connection to a Raspberry Pi. It’s compatible with all models of the mini PC, except the Pi Zero, which lacks the DSI port.
Additionally, the Touch Display 2 features a rear mount for easy attachment of any Raspberry Pi, allowing you to create a basic yet functional Linux tablet using these components.
