Participation Rules

To foster a positive environment for discussion at Xataka En, where we can respectfully exchange ideas and engage in friendly, constructive debates about our passion for technology, we’ve established some participation guidelines to ensure a good environment for our community.

Please take note that comments containing the following will be deleted:

  • Insults and/or profanity.
  • Personal and private information of other people.
  • Continued accusations against members of the community, including Xataka En writers.
  • Spam or any kind of promotion.
  • Porn or any kind of adult material (NSFW), as well as links to this kind of material.
  • Conspiracy theories and/or disinformation that may cause harm to people.
  • Content that may infringe upon the rights of third parties or violate the law.
  • Content that is unrelated to the subject matter of the article.

Accounts will be banned if they:

  • Systematically disqualify, harass, or make personal attacks on community members, including writers.
  • Make threats of any kind.
  • Use multiple accounts or attempt to impersonate other users.
  • Consistently violate the rules mentioned above regarding the deletion of comments.

Xataka En reserves the right to update these rules as necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the community.

Report Comments

If you believe that we’ve missed an offensive comment, please report it by clicking on the yellow warning sign at the top right of the comment.

Appealing Moderation Decisions

Users can appeal a decision regarding comment deletion or account blocking by using our contact form. When appealing, please provide the following information:

  • Offending comment (link, screenshot, or reference), or banned account (user name).
  • Reasons for the appeal.
